As the old adage goes, the eyes are the window to the soul and his smile can place a song in your heart, these words ring true of the man Norman Watkins. Norman has been a staple in the Austin community since 1991. A graduate and former football player for The University of Texas, he has placed a strong foothold in the community. He has been featured in some of Austin’s most notable publications such as Austin360.com, The Austin American Statesman, and was also listed in XL Fortune 500 as “One of the people to watch”. Austin Monthly Magazine named him “One of Austin’s Most Eligible Bachelors” in the 2015 Edition and his most recent honor came when he was inducted into the Irving Independent School District’s Class of 2020 Hall of Fame for Academic and Athletic Excellence. When Norman is not making and closing big deals as a National Channel Director for Avaya, his hands and heart are reaching out and helping the children in the community. He is currently a board member for Partnerships for Children. He has volunteered at Safe Place, Neighborhood Longhorns, The American Heart Association, and The Boys and Girl Club. Norman has been featured as a keynote speaker for schools across central Texas. In Norman’s personal time, this Louisiana native enjoys cooking, interior design, spending quality time with friends and family, and taking long walks with his dogs (Henry & Frankie). Norman is also an avid yogi who practices four times a week. As much as he enjoys personal time, his true passion is ministering God’s Word and making sure he continues to let his light shine.
